Eduard Ayuso, DVM, PhD, has more than two decades experience at the centre of gene therapy and viral vector manufacturing. He is CTO of Siegfried DINAMIQS, which he co-founded in 2022. As a founder CEO, heled its acquisition by the Siegfried Group within twelve months. Previously, as CTO of DINAQOR, he established labs at Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zürich, developed a concept for a GMP facility for viral vector manufacturing and contributed to fundraising and partnering with venture capital and strategic investors. A pioneer in viral vectors for therapeutic applications, he combines a strong scientific and technical background with a clear client and patient focus and has built his career on trusted partnerships and a broad network in cell and gene therapy. Eduard has authored more than 50 scientific publications and chaired the manufacturing committee of the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy.

hemotune’s magnetic bead platform has been through preclinical development and is now being applied to both sides of the gene therapy bottleneck: removing pre-existing neutralizing antibodies so that systemic AAV therapies can reach the patients excluded from them today, and the downstream processing of biologics. Very few people understand both sides from the inside as Eduard does.

Eduard on joining: “I am excited to join hemotune’s Board and support its ambition to redefine what is possible in gene therapy. By overcoming neutralizing antibodies to unlock systemic AAV treatments and advancing a powerful magnetic bead platform for next-generation bioprocessing, hemotune has the potential to transform both patient access and the manufacturing of biologics.”

Dr. Harald Casebourne Stock, President of hemotune’s Board of Directors, says: “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Didier for his many years of service. His contributions have been instrumental in establishing hemotune’s leadership in magnetic nanoparticle technology, and we wish him all the best. At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Eduard, whose experience in the advanced therapeutic modalities space will be a great asset as we enter our next phase. I look forward to working with him, our fellow Directors, and CEO Lukas Langenegger and the leadership team to shape hemotune’s future.”

We look forward to what Eduard’s experience will bring as we take our programmes towards patients.
